Pharmacy technicians prepare, supply and dispense medicines prescribed for patients under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
The Pharmacy Services Apprenticeship offers a combination of a technical certificate and the diploma in Pharmacy services. If you want a career in Pharmacy Services then this Apprenticeship is for you. It will offer you a combination of qualifications that will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to work in both the retail industry and the private and National Health Service.
There are many units covered including chemical and biological priniciples for pharmacy technicians, a study of a variety of medicines for specific conditions and infection control and vaccine.
You will be assessed through work-based evidence, oral questioning and a portfolio.

Individual employers will set the selection criteria, but you are likely to need at least five GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English, Maths and a Science.
You will also need a relevant Level 2 Apprenticeship.
