This course will help you develop professional accountancy and finance skills that will be useful throughout your career, including drafting financial statements for limited companies, knowledge and skills in complex management accounting techniques and the ability to analyse accounting systems and their associated controls. You will also enhance your knowledge and skills in specialist accountancy and finance subjects, such as tax, auditing, credit management, and cash and treasury management.
The course is ideal if you are already working in finance or accounting, or if you would like to go onto become a full AAT member, or study for chartered accountant status.

Each of the 6 units is assessed via a computer-based exam.
Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. On successful completion of this course, you automatically become an AAT affiliate member and, with relevant work experience, will qualify for full AAT membership, which will allow you to use the letters MAAT after your name. This course will also help you to move on to higher level courses, or into employment in roles such as an accounts supervisor, assistant finance accountant, tax supervisor, VAT accountant or fixed asset accountant.
