Apprenticeship Summary

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain administration systems for the processing and data entry of learning information as required by funding bodies, awarding bodies and Beacon standards
  • Proactively maintain and update Assessor monthly reports
  • Ensure that Beacon’s MIS systems are updated and accurate at all times
  • Ensure all duties are carried out within required timescales
  • Assist with auditing and checking of administration systems
  • Liaise with funding bodies and employers to process learner details and information
  • Assist in the initial induction of learners via phone calls and check-in calls
  • Supporting learners with basic IT queries
  • Carry out reception duties when required
  • Answer telephone enquiries or redirect/take messages as appropriate
  • Preparation of letters and other communication to participants, customers and external bodies
  • Preparation and copying of learner start and completion documentation as required
  • Ensuring that all supplies and stationery are maintained within the centre
  • Contribute to the sharing of good practice and support continuous improvement throughout Beacon
  • Minuting of meetings where needed

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications:

  • English GCSE: A*-C / 4-9
  • Math GCSE: A*-C / 4-9
  • Desirable – IT GCSE: A*-C / 4-9

Further Information

Annual wage between £18,000-£24,000 dependent on experience.

Occupational profile

This position will provide the candidate with the necessary skills required to work in any business administration role. The strong focus on the education sector will provide the candidate with specialist skills that are required to work within an MIS or recruitment department in an educational setting, Primary, Secondary, FE or HE. Beacon is an expanding business and has every intention of employing any apprentice who completes their apprenticeship with them.
